Academic Calendar
Students ask frequently what the weekly work load looks like for the year at the Kanakuk Institute. In short, you will have plenty of free time to enjoy the Ozark Mountains, hang out with your friends, or travel; however, you will also be busy and should manage your time well.
Monday to Friday, we have class from 8am until 12noon. Throughout the week, students also have campus job hours, internship activities, discussion groups, homework, host family dinners, Inductive Bible Study, and Touch Point Groups. While these are not daily responsibilities, they do require a couple of hours a week to accomplish. Below, you can see a typical student’s weekly schedule:

September 10, 2011: Move into K-Kauai
September 15: Fall Tuition Deadline
November 19-27: Thanksgiving Break
December: John Brown University site visit
December 17-January 7: Christmas Break
January 31: Spring Tuition Deadline
February 26-March 6: Spring Break
March 14-16: John Brown University site visit
April 13: Institute Graduation
April 14: Check out of Kauai
