Trips
Every year, typically during Spring Break, the Kanakuk Institute offers optional trips for our students. Strategically placed during the middle of the final semester, these trips teach, challenge, and strengthen the faith and the education of our students. Whether you decide to join the study trip to Israel or the missions trip to Trinidad, you will gain a life changing experience that you will not forget for a long, long time. Read some of the details regarding these major trips below:

Trinidad
The Kanakuk Institute has a neat connection with an amazing ministry in Trinidad called Trinidad and Tobago Urban Ministries (TTUM). In past years we have taken a group of staff and students for a very packed and purposeful mission trip to this southernmost Caribbean island.
Approximately sixty miles long and fifty miles wide, Trinidad is small yet diverse. The population is 30% Muslim, 30% Hindu with several other religions among the mix. Just a few years ago Christianity comprised only 1% of the population but today has grown to about 10%. The Lord is at work in amazing ways on the island and no doubt is using the people and ministry of TTUM in that.

Our time in Trinidad varies from visiting several schools, orphanages, prisons and rehab centers to putting on a VBS in a village. You will be greatly challenged and blessed as you play with the kids, talk with the people and openly share your faith. Oh, and we also spend a day on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world- shark burgers anyone?
