The Kanakuk Institute was founded in 2002 to provide a place for young men and women to intensively study the Word of God and experience life-change through biblical community and the power of the gospel. The Institute provides the applicable essentials of seminary in a way that prepares students to live a Christ-exalting life in any occupation. Over 900 Alumni have entered the business world, medical field, local ministries, and world missions. Offering MBA and M.Div transfer credit, the Institute is a great way to prepare for your future both spiritually and professionally. Watch the video below for more information on the Institute’s vision and history.
The Institute features different speakers from around the country who focus on biblical interpretation, apologetics, and the application of the Word of God. Our President Keith Chancey has developed academic partnerships with John Brown University, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Southeastern Theological Seminary. There are also opportunities for advanced placement at Dallas Theological Seminary and Southwestern. With these partnerships, men and women leave the program with integrity, the ability to communicate truth, and one year of transferable graduate degree credit.
Class size ranges from 70 to 85 students who hold degrees in everything from engineering to nursing. The average age range is 22 to 30. We have married, engaged, and single students who all share a desire to be equipped with biblical skills for a lifetime of ministry.
The Kanakuk Institute is located in the middle of the Ozark Mountains in Branson, MO. Branson is well-known for live music and beautiful lakes and rivers. Students also enjoy the Student Life on the Institute’s 8-acre campus.
