Tuition
Students of the Kanakuk Institute class of 2013 pay tuition of $9,550. This tuition will cover a student’s room, board, books and class fees for the Kanakuk Institute (and the 12 hours transfer credit to John Brown University and/or the up to 28 hours of transfer credit to Dallas Theological Seminary). If a student chooses to pursue his or her Masters with John Brown University or Dallas Theological Seminary, the additional credit hours needed for degree completion will run at the specific university’s tuition rate. JBU and DTS handle their own tuition billing and should be contacted with any questions. Visit our JBU & DTS pages for further information.
The approximate cost per student attending the Kanakuk Institute is actually around $16,000. However, through the generosity of our donors and the willingness of our President, Keith Chancey, to raise money, each student has the opportunity to accept nearly $7,000 in scholarship to attend. This scholarship makes the Kanakuk Institute a non cost-prohibitive option for anyone interested in attending. Students pay a little more than half of the actual cost for eight months of learning and living expenses. In exchange for this scholarship, students will be asked to participate in a work study job three hours per week and a weekly dining hall clean-up rotation as well as occasional required campus workdays.
