By participating in the Kanakuk Institute, 

you can earn credits toward a Master’s Degree.

 

While many students choose to attend the Kanakuk Institute independent of the academic partnerships, students will graduate with free transferable credit to each of these schools if they choose to use it in the future.

Southwest Baptist University

  • MBA

    • 12 hours direct transfer credit

    • The MS in Education Teacher Leadership program is designed to prepare teachers to assume any leadership role in the school that does not require and administrative certification.

  • Master of Science in Educational Administration

    • 3 hours direct transfer credit

    • MS in Education Administration is a degree program leading to initial K-12 principal certification. This master degree program will broaden your knowledge and strengthen your skills for building-level leadership roles in today’s complex educational environment.

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary

Institute graduates may continue their education at SBTS through our partnership program earning up to 18 hours from their time at KI. Southern now offers several degrees completely online. Students are able to graduate from the Institute and transition immediately into their career while finishing their degree online. Email admissions@sbts.edu for more information.

  • Direct Transfer Credit – 15 hours
  • 3 additional hours if complete additional course work

 

Dallas Theological Seminary

Kanakuk Institute graduates can complete a master’s degree at DTS starting by earning up to 22 hours from their time at KI, including 12 hours of direct transfer and up to an additional 16 hours from advanced standing exams. DTS degree programs can be completed online and supplemented with weekend intensives at our locations around the US.

Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

Frequently Asked Questions

All Kanakuk Institute alumni who have completed the necessary requirements for graduation of receiving an 80 or above may receive graduate transfer credit. Please note: To receive the graduate transfer credit, you need to have completed an undergraduate degree. If you are in the process of completing (or later complete) an undergraduate degree, your transfer credit will be waiting and available for you!

Kanakuk Institute alumni can receive transfer credit to any of the current Kanakuk Institute Master’s Partnerships. You can view the list of our current partnerships and the specifics of the transfer credit above.

Great question! That would be up to the institution you are considering. While we don’t have a partnership with them, they may honor your credit based on what our current partnerships recognize. We are happy to send your transcript to them for them to evaluate!
